International HappeningsWE ARE BACK - THINGS ARE STILL HAPPENING
After another absence, we are updating this site to try to better inform you of the International
Department program at BHBC. Perhaps, some of us got behind on our responsibilities earlier due
to other conflicts and demands on our time and schedule. We hope we can stay more current in
our coverage of the "happenings" in the future so that you can better keep up with us.
WE WILL TRY AGAIN - THINGS ARE STILL HAPPENING, BUT WE DIDN'T KEEP UP AS HOPED
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND ACTIVITIES1. INTERNATIONAL DEPARTMENT SCHEDULE - 2012
A. Recently, the International Department held its annual Fall Festival on October 20. We had a beautiful warm weather day and everyone enjoyed the games, Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin carving, and the good food and fellowship. Perhaps, the children enjoyed the festival most of all, but we saw some big (adult) children who were having a good time also. Click the link below for pictures of this event. B. On Saturday, November 10, we will have our annual Thanksgiving celebration. At 10:00A, our lady teachers will show our International students how to prepare and cook a traditional American Thanksgiving meal .At 5:00P, all members and guests will come to the church dining room and eat the Thanksgiving meal. This will be a time to enjoy the good food prepared earlier by our teachers and students. You don't want to miss this event. A sheet is available in the International Department to be used to sign up for this event if you would like to attend. You may invite friends to this event, but include them when you sign up. C. On Saturday, December 8, you are invited to attend an Open House at the home of Dorothy and Donald Hundley to see the Hundley traditional Christmas decorations at an American home. You may come between the hours of 5P-7P, but you do not have to stay for the entire time. A light snack will be served, but not a complete meal. NEWS - PRESENT MEMBERSAs we lose some members who have returned to their home countries, we also are pleased to welcome several new members recently. We plan to publish a new department directory soon to provide a current list of our members.
NEWS - FORMER MEMBERSThe Ohashi Family are leaving us to return to Japan during November, 2012. A picture of their family, including their Nashville born daughter, can be seen in the "Internationals - Former Members" folder using the link below. Other Pictures
